Concrete Admixtures
Water reducer, Plasticizers
Water reducers are improve concrete strength by reducing the water cement ratio and enhancing hydration, and are used in a variety of applications to ensure or improve workability and increased slump. When WRAs break up the clustered cement particles, additional surface area becomes available to hydrate.
Super plasticizers
Superplasticizers (SPs), or also known as high range water reducers (HRWR), are additives used for making high-strength concrete or to place self-compacting concrete (SCC). Superplasticizers can also be utilized in producing flowing concrete used in a heavy reinforced structure with inaccessible areas.
Retarder
Retarding admixtures are used to slow the rate of setting of concrete. By slowing the initial setting time, the concrete mixture can stay in its fresh mix state longer before it gets to its hardened form. Concrete retarders slow down the hydration process. This keeps the concrete in its plastic stage and more workable for longer. Concrete retarders are used when more time to place the concrete is needed during transportation or a complex placing condition for example in hot weather condition.
Accelerator
Accelerator admixture is an admixture for the use in concrete, mortar, rendering or screeds. The addition of an accelerator speeds the setting time and thus cure time starts earlier. This allows concrete to be placed in winter with reduced risk of frost damage. Accelerators are affect the rates of reactions between cement and water to give an overall increase in the hydration rate. Thus, the use of accelerators in concrete provides a shortening of setting time and/or an increase in early strength development.
Air Entraining agent
Air-entraining admixtures facilitate the development of a system of microscopic air bubbles within concrete during mixing. They increase the freeze-thaw durability of concrete, increase resistance to scaling caused by deicing chemicals, and improve workability.
Hydrophobic agent
Hydrophobic agents are the materials that are employed in cement for enhancing the contact angle between the water and the concrete surface. Fatty acids and their fractions have been introduced in the cement as either phase change materials or as an admixture to minimize water ingress into concrete.
Viscosity modifiers
(VMA), viscosity modifying agents can be used to enhance the resistance to segregation and bleeding. Moreover their use enables a modification of the flow properties and rheology of mortar and concrete. This property can be used to optimize various types of concrete like SCC & Under water concreting.
Corrosion inhibitors
Corrosion inhibitors are chemical substances that reduce the corrosion rate, have been widely used, both for prevention and correction. This materials are move through the pore structure of the concrete to reach the surface of the reinforcing steel and form a protective film.
Anti-washout admixture
Anti-washout admixtures increase the cohesion of the concrete in a way that significantly reduces the washing out of cementitious material and sand from fresh concrete placed underwater or in Cementitious grouting, etc.

Concrete Repairs
Concrete repair is the process of fixing a hardened concrete surface that, over time, has lost the ability to hold the binding concrete materials together due to damage or environmental exposure. Concrete repair is appropriate for cracks, physical impacts, chipped out surfaces or surface scaling.
Injection
Injection technologies are many different procedures for pumping cement-based and many Polymer based products like polyurethane-based, epoxy-based or acrylate-based material into damaged or cracked structures to securely seal leaks, repair compromised structures and make them consolidate and watertight again for long term services.
Shotcrete
Shotcrete is a form of concrete or mortar that is applied to a surface or building at a fast rate of speed, usually using a pneumatic gun. It is a crucial component of the construction industry and has several uses, such as strengthening buildings, waterproofing tunnels and basements, and repairing cracked concrete.
